Thierry Henry has withdrawn from the France side to face England in Paris on Wednesday.
The Barcelona striker picked up an injury in his side's 4-1 defeat of Valladolid in La Liga on Sunday.
With Karim Benzema and Louis Saha also missing, David Trezeguet has been drafted into Raymond Domenech's side.
The Juventus striker scored in his side's 2-1 defeat of Serie A leaders Internazionale on Sunday, taking his tally to 17 for the season, and looks set to earn his first cap since appearing in France's shock defeat at the hands of Scotland in September 2007.
Trezeguet has played 70 times for his country. The 30-year-old featured in the 1998 World Cup winning squad, and scored the goal which won Euro 2000.
