Internazionale defender Marco Materazzi has revealed that he has made peace with team-mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the pair fell out during the 2-0 Champions League defeat at Liverpool.
Following Materazzi's sending off during the first half of the last-16 game at Anfield, Ibrahimovic reportedly told a journalist: "What happened? You need to go and ask Materazzi."
But Materazzi has moved to dispel talk of a bust-up.
The former Everton defender said: "There may have been a moment of tension, but we've cleared things up.
"I am not an ambiguous or elusive type of person - I like to look people in the eye."
The 2006 World Cup winner emphasised his point by revealing that he has previously fallen out with Inter coach Roberto Mancini.
"We even came to hands once, but if we are both still here then it means we put down our daggers," he told Calcio Italia magazine.
"Now Mancini and I get on perfectly, but I'll admit that there were mistakes made at the start.
"There was this big problem regarding our jobs. The respect just wasn't there.
"He had only just arrived and seemed to have a player's mentality and perhaps I felt like I could challenge his opinion.
"Slowly but surely we learned our roles. I started to appreciate him and discovered what a great coach he really is.
"He started to understand who I am, what I do and what I can do. It took some time, but here we are. The results speak for us both."
