Celtic winger Aiden McGeady could be set for a big-money move to Bayern Munich.
Reports in Scotland claim that the inevitable move of the Irish flyer to one of Europe's top leagues will materialise in the summer.
The Scottish Daily Mail pointed to Bayern as his most likely destination, while The Scottish Sun reckons that Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has been eyeing him.
Both would make some sort of sense.
Bayern currently have Franck Ribery and Bastian Schweinsteiger operating on the flanks but Ribery is a target for Barcelona and the rest, while ageing Brazilian lefty Ze Roberto is more comfortable in the middle of the park these days.
Spurs use playmaker Luka Modric on McGeady's preferred wing but he is also more centrally minded, while other wide midfielders Aaron Lennon and David Bentley have much more joy on the right.
Either way, Ireland coach Giovanni Trappatoni would rather he quit the SPL sooner rather than later. Monkey tennis, I tell you.
Portsmouth midfielder Sean Davis could move to Everton or Bolton even if the South Coast club retain their place in the Premier League.
The former Fulham and Tottenham man's contract expires in the summer but, oddly, Pompey only offered him a new deal in March and the player is exercising his right to let it run down.
"Sean has been offered an improved three-year contract," executive chairman Peter Storrie said in the Daily Mirror. "But I think he wants to keep his options open until the end of the season."
One man who will not be going anywhere is Stiliyan Petrov, who is set to sign a three-year extension to an Aston Villa deal that expires in 2010.
With Robbie Fowler leading the way at North Queensland Fury, more English players could see out the twilight of their careers in Australia.
Wolves captain Jody Craddock is being targeted by Perth Glory as he ponders whether his 33-year-old legs would be able to handle the Premier League in the likely event of their promotion.
The same club are looking at Birmingham's Kevin Phillips, whose decision to leave West Brom on promotion looked more like an acceptance that he could no longer cut it in the top flight than the given reason of a longer contract.
Struggling Newcastle have taken MFK Kosice prospect Lubomir Korijkov on trial.
The 16-year-old Slovakia youth international will spend a week at St James' Park after impressing Dennis Wise and co.

27 - in the last 5 years, celtic have marmalised LIVERPOOL, BLACKBURN, QPR, and that's just off the top of my head! And why, if scottish football's so bad, do celtic AND rangers get invited to participate in friendlies, testimonials, etc? Clown! Go drown yourself!
i think scottish player will prefer england rather than germany !!!

#24 when in the last 5 years has a scottish team thumped an English team. A few years ago Rangers threw cash at there team and never really made an impact in Europe. I remember the Daily Record mocked Grasshoppers as there nickname was the Millionaires, when it was really Rangers who were splashing the cash. Zurich humped them.
The Celtic team that made the UEFA cup final is the best Scottish club team in the last decade. Dont expect to see one of our teams play as well for a while.
The last time bayern were linked with a celtic player it was Paul Mcstay who threw his jersey into the crowd cried his eyes out sad at leaving the club then found out that Mehmet scholl was available from Karlsruher and deal was off Just watch out Aiden as lightning could strike twice.
To darrenJ the EPL might be full of foreign managers and players but it is still the english pace and power, and thats what set's us apart from all the other countrys, you get some foreign players come over here with a big rep and they can't cut it like reyes, albert lique or what ever he's name was, thats why liverpool crushed real madrid, so even though there team was mainly spanish they still played in the english way and thats why its the best league in the world, because they play the english way.
#22 Celtic and Rangers have routinely thumped English Premiership teams over the past ten years. What makes you think that with increased revenue from TV monies that trend wouldnt continue?
Arrogance.
Scottish football is 3rd rate Celtic and Rangers would struggle in the English lower leagues 2:2 at Dundee says it all pub team at best.
go on McGeady, move to Munich, itll be great for Ireland! Trapatoni and the whole country would love to see an irishman makin it in the Bundesliga!!! just please dont go to Spurs......
MRB24 and what makes you think i am a fan of 'Scotlands Shame'?
Must agree with Darren....its not the English Prem its the world of nations prem league....give me a 14 man "English" team that would win the league?
Alager d must be a Rangers fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr Singin Ginger....dont waste ur precious time with these non-football idiots....they watch Eastenders etc and dont know jack @#$% about footie..
It's a Eurosport article, not an English one, albeit written by an Alan Partridge fan
Monkey tennis? Very arrogant.
Scottish Soccer is a poor relation to Football. I am Scottish and i have the misfortune of watching our game. it is a substandard version of other football from other leagues. The rest of us are not catching the old firm, they are just rotten. To blame the EPL for the demise of grass roots upbringing is pure nonsense. most Scottish teams bring through their youth now, then sell them to the championsip as that is only where they are any good. Can you ever see the day when foreign investors will pay to watch Caley Thistle v Hamilton Accies???
"Monkey tennis, I tell you." - and the English wonder why we Scots think they are arrogant, pompous a***holes. We gave football Ferguson, Dalglish, Bremner, Law, Shankly, Christian Dailly(!), etc. The English gave football David Batty, Jimmy Hill, Graham Taylor and Gary Bloody Lineker. And cricket.
Ok thats a tad unfair seeing as the Premiership is the place to be, but thats mainly due to foreign managers, foreign playersand foreign money. Money cant buy the World Cup, as you have (and will) find out again.
And what kind of name is 'Reda Maher' anyway? With a name like that then he must be qualified to speak on football, eh?........Walter Smiths tagnuts have more knowledge of the game than this Alan Partridge-quote-stealing nonenity.
lol...really? I found a place that many players are hoo king up with h ot mo dels, seems the club called: __T all mingle Co M___, do you hear this before?

LOL at the diddies on here saying that McGeady wouldn't cut it in Germany! The only reason why he's not playing as well as he did 2-3 seasons back is because the opposition now play at least 2 men marking him out of the game! That is not the German style of football!
