Burnley manager Owen Coyle is hopeful that on-loan striker Andrew Cole will sign a permanent deal with the Championship outfit. The former Manchester United and England forward has yet to make a decision on whether he will continue playing after this season.
Cole, 36, has been hampered by a long-standing Achilles injury since joining the Clarets on loan from Sunderland in January.
But Coyle said: "I think he's loved every minute of this football club, albeit it's been a bit stop-start with that niggling Achilles.
"But he's shown when he's fully fit and on the pitch, what he brings to any football team, so I would envisage that Andrew would probably want to play on next season."
