Wrexham co-owners Neville Dickens and Geoff Moss have conceded they "accept full responsibility" for the club's relegation. The Dragons relinquished their Football League status following Tuesday's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Hereford.
Boss Brian Little must now mastermind a revival at the Racecourse Ground, and has the full backing of Dickens and Moss.
"The fans have to have someone to blame, the buck has to stop at the top and we have to accept full responsibility for our demise, for which we apologise," said Dickens and Moss in a joint statement.
"However, vitriol and threats are not the way forward, we tried to do our best, but at the end of the day it wasn't good enough. We now have to roll our sleeves up and prepare in the best possible manner for next season.
"Brian Little has already made known some of his plans regarding next season's playing squad and we shall be working closely with Brian over the coming weeks to ensure that we have a squad capable of bouncing straight back."
