Ipswich manager Jim Magilton has confirmed striker Shefki Kuqi could return for Saturday's crucial trip to Preston.The Finland striker has managed less than 45 minutes of action since arriving on loan from Crystal Palace in March due to hamstring troubles but could be back as the Tractor Boys look to close in on a play-off place.

Magilton told the club's official website: "Shefki has worked closely with our medical team on his recovery over the last week or two and is desperate to get back playing.

"He will train with us on Thursday and if he comes through that okay then he will come into contention for Saturday's match at Preston.

"We will have a good look at him first before making a decision."
