Thu 24 Apr, 04:00 PM

Peterborough striker Aaron Mclean is determined to bag the golden boot award for League Two after firing the Posh to promotion.Darren Ferguson's side travel to Grimsby on Saturday with the title still up for grabs but Mclean, who lies one goal ahead of Wycombe hit-man Scott McGleish on 27, is after his own invididual accolade.

He said: "With this Posh team anything is possible. We've been flying in the last few months and as a centre-forward I feel very fortunate to be playing in a team that creates so many chances.

"We've already achieved the number one target which was going up and we are determined to win at Grimsby on Saturday to keep alive our chances of winning the title.

"And on a personal note I'd love to win the golden boot. I'd be disappointed to miss out after being at the top of the charts for most of the season, but Scotty seems to be scoring every week."
