British 400 metres world champion Christine Ohuruogu has confirmed that she will compete in the 47th IAAF Golden Spike Grand Prix in Ostrava, Czech Republic on June 12.
The 23-year-old London-born athlete took the world crown with a time of 49.61 seconds in Osaka, Japan last year.
The race will take place in Ostrava for the first time in four years, and has been organised as a tribute to Jan Slanina Memorial, the late coach of Tatjana Kocembova-Slaninova, who still holds the meet record with the 49.67 she ran in 1983.
Also in the field will be the USA's 4x400 metres relay world champion Natasha Hastings, who has a personal best of 49.84. Hastings was also World Junior Champion in 2004.
