England Under-21 midfielder Henri Lansbury believes West Ham can do well next season as they return to the Barclays Premier League after a year in the Championship.
Lansbury, 21, spent last term on loan at Upton Park from Arsenal and feels Sam Allardyce's side achieved what was expected of them as they secured an immediate return to the top flight after beating Blackpool in the play-off final.
"There are some good players here and they all want to do well," Lansbury told whufc.com. "People were talking about pressure and being favourites for the final and all of that but that has been around all season. I think the lads can do well next year, there is no reason why not."
With the club's finances delicately poised, Allardyce was charged with gaining promotion in his first season at the helm of the East London club and Lansbury is pleased for all involved.
He added: "It is massive for the club obviously as it means being back in the Premier League. It is also massive for the West Ham fans. You know they would have made sure they had a good day out at Wembley whatever happened as it is such a great place to come to.
"But the fact their team won means so much and we are all glad this could happen for them as they deserve it. They have certainly been fantastic in my time here."

"Lansbury backs Hammers to shine in EPL"-------just as they did in the Championship, 3rd rate.
At least big Sam is releasing players BEFORE attempting to sign new ones.
Carnt agree more Lansbury would be good for WH didnt get a regular outting mores the pitty,so if he hasnt a place at Arsenal come back.
Break the bank for Lansbury Sam he will grow into a decent battling talented footballer.
Arsenal have stated previously they have no intention of selling him. I hope that changes because I think he can contribute at West Ham and he just seems like a West Ham man to me. Would love to have him back too.
Has anyone heard whether there is any chance he will come back perminently? Think he would have more chances at Upton Park and would be an asset.
