Premier League - PSV: Spurs want Gomes

PSV Eindhoven say Tottenham have inquired about the availability of goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes.

Gomes asked for a transfer shortly after PSV claimed their 21st league title last season, citing differences with managing director Jan Reker.

That has alerted Spurs with Reker admitting the London club have been in touch.

"Tottenham have informed us of their interest," Reker said in the Eindhovens Dagblad newspaper.

Although Reker insisted a deal has yet to be struck, he hinted it was close after revealing the club have already drawn up a list of replacements.

"It is true that Andreas Isaksson is one of the candidates to replace Gomes, but we are looking at other keepers too," he added.

  4. mid table blah blah blah, at least spurs are looking to bring in talent and are constantly moving forward. not sitting around talking about what they won a few years ago or crowing about the chumps league which they have never won anyway. honestly any keeper is gonna be better than robbo, that man was responsible for some terrible keeping last season and cost us at least 10 points. onwards and upwards for the spurs.

  5. there is only 1 bad thing about this and that is 10 million is a beat steep for a keeper who lets be honest isn't first class.
    Spurs would be better off buying Joe Hart for about 6 million that way we save money and get good keeper who can only get better!
    But im more interested in what spurs are doing about this whole diego capel, david vill and david bentley saga!!!!
    they are top class players who will make a big difference @ spurs!!

    c'mon you spurs we rock but gooners, not so much
