Serie A - Ronnie still dreams of Milan

Barcelona forward Ronaldinho is still hopeful of moving to Milan even though the Serie A club's interest seemed to have waned.

FOOTBALL Barcelona - Ronaldinho - 0

"The chances that Ronaldinho will play for Milan next year are the same as they were a few months ago," the player's agent and brother Roberto de Assis told Sportal.it.

"We know that Ronaldinho likes Milan and Milan like Ronaldinho and we'll keep working to take the world's best player to the world's greatest club."

Milan said in April that they had agreed personal terms with de Assis for Ronaldinho but the transfer broke down over Barcelona's asking price.

Last week Chief Executive Adriano Galliani said Arsenal's Emmanuel Adebayor was the only striker Milan are chasing in the close season, although Ronaldinho is as often defined as an attacking midfielder as he is a forward.

Barcelona may be willing to reduce their asking price after new coach Pep Guardiola confirmed that he would listen to offers for the player, along with team-mates Deco and Samuel Eto'o.

The come-and-get-me plea appears to be in response to stronger links with a move to cash-rich Premier League club Manchester City and with Luiz Felipe Scolari's Chelsea.

  2. thou he is a very good player, any top flight club, like chelsea, milan or arsenal will have to be crazy to buy him, the only thing he can offer them is his brand-name.
