Eurosport took a look at Manchester United winger Zoran Tosic during Serbia U21's 3-1 defeat to Sweden at the European Championships.
Left-footed Tosic has failed to make an impression on the first-team at Old Trafford and, on this performance, it is clear that he is far from the finished article.
He cost an undisclosed but reported fee of over £10 million when he signed from Partizan Belgrade in January but that looks a touch steep on current evidence.
The slightly-built Tosic is well below average height and shows a worrying lack of pace for a trickly little winger.
Tosic has good balance and technique, and looks equally adept on the right wing when he trades flanks, but is physically inferior at U21 level, let alone the Premier League.
Key moments:
6' - Picks up a yellow card for a late tackle on Rasmus Bengtsson.
43' - Fires over the bar after cutting in from the right wing.
68' - Subbed off after a disappointing game.
Pace: 5/10
Dribbling: 7/10
Crossing: 8/10
Balance: 7/10
Intelligence: 7/10
Overall: 33/50
Approximate value: £3.5m
Destination: None,if he is lucky.
OTHER NOTABLE PLAYERS IN ACTION
SERBIA (v Sweden)
Gojko Kacar - missed a free header, scored a goal and was one of Serbia's better performers in a poor team display. Is strong, aggressive and can play.
SWEDEN (v Serbia)
Marcus Berg - the Groningen striker continued to add to his burgeoning reputation with two goals, one from open play and one from the penalty spot. He moved well and made one delightful backheel later in the game. Unlucky not to get a second hat-trick of the tournament.
Mattias Bjarsmyr - Looked reasonably composed in defence and was not at fault for Serbia's only goal. Dealt with an uninspired Serbia attack and won most aerial balls.
ITALY (v Belarus)
Mario Balotelli - The Inter forward was suspended after his red card against Sweden.
Sebastian Giovinco - Quiet in the first-half, the pint-sized Juventus man was at the hub of everything good in the second-half. He nearly scored on a couple of occasions and played a key role in the winning goal.
Marco Motta - The Udinese full-back, who spent part of last season on loan at Roma, made one last gasp tackle and also looked good going forward on a couple of occasions.
BELARUS (v Italy)
Sergey Krivets - Showed flashes of quality but nothing that will have the scouts rushing to phone up to his club FC BATE.

@wayne you are annoying everybody cares about him because he is a great talent and you are probably just jealous you idio* get lost take a hike if you don't like it why did you live a comment in the first place fu** of
i think he will develop.. give him time
lool SAF... its sad how it took me a while to figure out what that stood for o_0
Teves is gone ..... .....its time to move on and get over it
=DXX
are all the people on this man u fans ????? who cares about tosic what about the england u21 in the semi finals
serbia are not ..
Fjk - yes, Best was 17. Tosic, however, is 22. He is pretty much fully-developed and will, at best, gain a few kilos in weight, and no height at all.
I couldn't believe it when SAF paid over 18 million for Tosic and Modric last year. I thought it was a very bad move since we could have used that money to keep Trevez, or to get Ribery.
ok, seriously, Tosic isn't usually as bad as last night. He was great for Partizan, but by no means the hub of their team. Think of him more like Modric, except younger. And worse. He was bought in a BOGOF deal and will no doubt improve as time goes by.
Comment 7, i see what you mean! Man U don't need 17 year old talents, they need high quality players NOW or they will not retain the league next season.
Apparently SAF bought him as a replacement for ronaldo and Nani will replace giggs on the left wing. Well done SAF. Well done
Comment 3, whilst I see where you are coming from. I find it impossible to credit Tosic with any of the attributes which George Best possessed. George arrived at Man U, went into the first team and the whole of the footballing world stood back in amazement. Incidentally, Best was 5' 10" and had thighs like tree trunks.
To be honest I was surprised when MU bought him :)
Idiot reported on this; Tosic is one for the future, he was never bought to impact on the 1st team last season!!!!!!!!! He will be a Utd star of the future; you would of course need to be signed up and watching him turn out for the reserves on MUTV to have some idea of what you are talking about. By the way; i guess you are too young in the tooth to have seen a frail 17 year old weighing in at about 9 stone turn out for Man Utd a few decades ago??? People said he was too small and lack the muscle to make it in the then 1st division. Who am i talking about??? George Best of course!!! I am sure even you have heard of him!!!!! Muppet...............
From the above report and from the fact that Tosic has hardly figured in United's line-up, it would appear that SAF has lumbered the Club with another expensive midget. When will he start signing players with some athletic power and presence?
and Tosic looks like Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver. Played like him, too
