Hull manager Phil Brown has been fined £2,500 for improper conduct for comments made about Mike Riley after the FA Cup defeat at Arsenal in March.
Brown had denied the charge. But it was found proven at an FA regulatory commission hearing and he was also warned about his future conduct.
The match was one of the most controversial of last season - afterwards Hull accused Cesc Fabregas of spitting at assistant manager Brian Horton, although the Arsenal captain was cleared by the FA after he too was charged with improper conduct.
The FA said in a statement: "At a regulatory commission hearing, Hull City manager Phil Brown was fined £2,500.
"Brown denied a charge of improper conduct and/or bringing the game into disrepute in relation to media comments concerning the referee Mike Riley, made following Hull's FA Cup tie against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on 17 March.
"At the hearing, Brown was fined and warned as to his future conduct."

Phil Brown is passionate about his club, team and football. At least we have a manager and players that really care and that's part of the reason Fergie likes us. Hull to finish 14th and Man U for the cup.
mr brown you should join up with that @#$% at no 10! your going down next season stick your mike
up your arsen wenger
Poor leadership of a poor club
FA if you are so fair show it. Call up Railey and grill him for being such a coward/so biased in the MU-Everton FA Cup semi finals.
Hey Mr. Phil Brown i ain't got any grudge about U, just to tell U, if U are a hot-tempered person U try to control it so that things will move on well without any problems Okay??? Alwayz Mande!

Terrible manager; hull to go down next season for defo.
mr brown stick that stupid mike up your a*se your a cr*p manager
No Burt your wrong! Phill Brown is not a s**te manager at all. Managers should have the right to vent their annoyance and anger when a referee blatantly turns a blind eye. We see it time and time again and it will continue unless the F.A get their finger out and sort it. Yes we have seen Ferguson, Wenger etc vent their anger and little or nothing is done but that is the F.A once again sticking their heads in the sand. They are only interested in the revenue the game brings in and not what gooes on the pitches and the behaviour of the men in black. They are spoiling the game!!!!
Hull were robbed, the FA got the semis they wanted to rake in the cash, the sooner the top 4 screw off to a Euro Super League, and the EPL becomes a level playing field like it was in the 1970's the better. The EPL is a bore !
A SAY, OWLED PHIL LEEKS HES PERMA TANS.
Look you are all missing the point, here in Latin America they were running ads for the FA Cup semis 2-3 days before the Arsenal v Hull replay.
Man U v Everton and Chelsea v Arsenal.
The FA were just protecting their worldwide brand and cash cow which is the top 4. The fix was in before the game, Riley was just following orders.
Just like the EPL the FA generates 10s of millions a year from worldwide TV and advertising rights, what has the bigger worldwide draw, Chelsea v Hull or Chelsea v Arsenal ?
Well that's a no brainer !
Accept it there are rules for the top 4 and rules for the rest, why wasn't Fabergas fined he charged around the field that he should not have been on, and got into the Hull players faces like a thug AND there was video evidence of that.
Then 3 witnesses saw him spit at Mr. Horton and what happened ?
Sweet FA !
No shock there from the corrupt FA !
WATS OWLED ROBOCAP BEEN OPP TAY NAY?
It is always one law for the big clubs and another for the rest - hadn't anyone noticed?
Hey, I'm an open minded girl from UK, I'm interested in exotic things, photography, dating and sports...I have my photos on --- Seektall Co m ---, I love tall guys!
Do you love traveling and have some experience? Just find me out.
Haha arsenal fans make me laugh, and yeah, they had that £2500 put aside for michael owen, oh well
|Ferguson has lost a diver to Real. Next season he would raise another diver so he can accuse ref for not giving them penalty. Or he would cook another excuse for not winning a match. Hope ManU ended in midtable next term. Arsenal - Just believe.
and there goes hull city's transfer budget out the window haha
