The Green Bay Packers secured one of their top offensive weapons by signing wide receiver Greg Jennings to a long-term contract extension.

The deal, which includes a number of performance incentives, will keep the player in Green Bay through the 2012 season and could earn him as much as $31 million, according to local media reports.

A favorite target for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Jennings set career highs in receptions (80) and receiving yards (1,292) last season while hauling in nine touchdown passes.

Taken with a second-round pick by the Packers in the 2006 draft, Jennings has caught 178 passes for 2,844 yards and 24 touchdowns in 43 career games.
