Bradford City midfielder Paul McLaren escaped with a bruised ankle after being stretchered off in the Bantams 1-0 friendly win at Dundee.McLaren, a free summer signing after turning down a new deal at Tranmere, was forced off following a challenge just before half-time, but later revealed the damage wasn't as bad as originally feared.
He said: "It hurt when I did it, but I didn't think it was that bad.
"Then I started feeling a bit wobbly and when they put me on the stretcher I feared the worst.
"But there's nothing to be worried about. It's just a few stud marks on my leg and I'll be fine.
Barry Conlon's early goal secured Stuart McCall's side a 1-0 goal win.
