Striker Lee Barnard is looking forward to facing his local team on Thursday evening as Southend travel to Billericay Town for a friendly.Manager Steve Tilson takes a full-strength Shrimpers side to face the Isthmian League outfit, with Alan McCormack the only notable absentee.
Barnard grew up in the Billericay area and the 24-year-old is desperate to impress at the New Lodge stadium.
"There will be a lot more people than normal watching me and I'm sure they will be quick in letting me know how I play so I need to make sure I put in a good performance," he told the club's official website.
"I've played there before with Spurs but it's something I always look forward to because I'm a Billericay boy.
"It's always a real test too because they're a good side."
