Northampton manager Stuart Gray has confirmed that he will not be signing veteran midfielder Kevin Watson after a trial period at Sixfields.Watson started the 1-0 defeat to QPR on Wednesday night but after a fairly anonymous 45 minutes was outshone by his replacement Abdul Osman.
Gray said: "We won't be taking the trial any further. I thanked Kevin for coming in but at this moment in time he is not for us.
"Abdul Osman came on at half-time and his performance impressed me. He was full of energy and broke things up well.
"We deserved a goal in the second half but although we created a couple of good chances we couldn't quite take one of them."
