QPR boss Iain Dowie has been impressed with his side's pre-season so far - and feels he is close to knowing his strongest XI.Dowie has already witnessed victories over Stevenage and Northampton with further games against Falkirk, Kilmarnock and Chievo scheduled before the season curtain raiser against Barnsley on August 9.

"The players are all working extremely hard in training, and I have to say their attitude has been spot on," he told the club's official website.

"My starting team for the first match of the season against Barnsley will be no secret.

"For our friendly against Chievo it is highly possible I will start with the players I expect to name against Barnsley seven days later."
