Colchester United's new sports scientist David Carolan insists he is determined to improve the players' mental fortitude.Carolan was appointed in the role last month as successor to Donough Holohan and his mission is to prepare the Us for the mental demands of a long and gruelling campaign in League One.
He told the Colchester Gazette: "We want to build in a certain degree of physical and mental toughness.
"We want the players to know how to cope when times get tough."
