Atletico Madrid ace Jose Antonio Reyes has refused to confirm that he has turned down a move to Newcastle in favour of a switch to Monaco.Reyes has been linked with a summer move away from Atletico despite only signing at Vicente Calderon from Arsenal last July.
Newcastle were believed to be lining up an offer for the 24-year-old, and reports emanating from Spain have suggested Reyes has rejected personal terms.
It is claimed he is now in advanced talks with Ligue 1 club Monaco after Atletico accepted a bid worth €7million (£5.5million).
Reyes said: "I am calm. My agent is dealing with the matter."

It's nice to see that Ashley doesn't fall for the 'galactico' star so easily. Just because he carries potential and has played for big clubs, doesn't mean he's good enough to justify these supposedly huge wages. Besides, we don't need him, we have plenty of players in his positions of left midfield/striker.
Dear Mark,
Thank goodness we are not giving in to outrageous player wage demands. We've had too many trophy signings who don't deliver. I still have faith in a guy who paid off our huge debt and has set a solid, sensible buying policy in place.
Regards,
Neil
thank christ, waste of money in the one position we have sufficient cover in.
sort it out Ashley you tight @#$%, loosing players over contracts, pathetic
People can not be rejects
