St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson will talk to Dominic Shimmin on Friday after the former Arsenal defender impressed in two games this week. The 20-year-old played in the 2-2 draw with Dumbarton on Tuesday and then Wednesday night's 3-1 win at Stirling.
MacPherson told the club's official website: "Dominic got another game under his belt last night and has shown up well in his two outings - we'll have a chat with him tomorrow.
"Dominic is a central defender who is strong and has a good physical presence.
"He was with Arsenal as a kid and through that he knows our goalkeeper Mark Howard, then he was with Queen's Park Rangers and even though he is now only 20 he has has taken part in a lot of games."
Saints are also hoping to have another look at trialists from Spain and France who played with them during last week's Italian training camp.
