After Sebastian Vettel drove for the past two days, it was now the turn of Sebastien Bourdais to take over behind the wheel for the final two days of the Jerez de la Frontera test.
The Frenchman began the day evaluating different brake materials and in the afternoon moved on to assessing a wing planned for use when the season reaches Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. The day went well, with the entire programme completed.
Bourdais completed 77 laps of the Spanish test venue with a best lap of 1:20.029s, sixth fastest on the day.
Tomorrow, Bourdais will start the day on this year’s specification tyres before moving on to do some laps with the ’09 spec slicks.

I understand what you are saying but he is so far off the pace of his teammate it is hard to see why.
Bourdais is undoubtably the real deal. I don't know what is going on with him in F1 though? He has said though that he is looking forward to the imminent change to slicks. Maybe this + a years previous F1 experience will prove decisive for him next year. Either way F1 needs him plus a couple of genuine US drivers. Just to mix it up a bit. Phill Hill/ Mario Andretti
Bourdais should progress quickly. I hope he is given the chance to prove that he is worthy. I am so tired of F-1's bad attitude about American racing (Champ/IRL) Bourdais is a multi Champion in a very competitive series. I am sure with more car under him he will do better in F-1.
