Liverpool have completed the signing of highly-rated French youngster David Ngog from Paris St Germain.
The 19-year-old has penned a four-year deal at Anfield for a fee thought to be in the region of £1.5 million.
The teenager becomes Liverpool's fourth signing of the summer after boss Rafael Benitez added Andrea Dossena, Diego Cavalieri and Philipp Degen to his squad.
Ngog, who is the cousin of former Rangers and Newcastle defender Jean-Alain Boumsong, failed to set Ligue 1 alight last season, finding the back of the net just once in 18 appearances for PSG.
But the pacy forward has impressed at various youth levels for his country and scored a brace against England Under-19s last season.
His capture will bolster Benitez's strikeforce, which had been trimmed with the departure of Peter Crouch for Portsmouth earlier this month.
Ngog's exit from PSG had been on the cards after he refused to pen an extension to his contract at the Parc des Princes, which had just entered its final year.

why dont people just stop being idiots and just give the lad a chance. Only £1.5 million and hes 19 thats cheap these days. Just think lots of people said torres would not adapt to our game and would be a flop like morienties. look at him now thou
Another @#$% player to add to the list of @#$% strikers with the obvious exception... At least Voronin was free. 1 goal in 18 games? Awful. I don't care who you play for, how @#$% the team is but 1 goal?! Was he blindfolded? Come on Rafa, pull your finger our and buy decent players with a proven history.
NICE ONE RORY_MCGUIGAN. Tell them how it is? GO LIVERPOOL GO.
say hello to France's Freddy Adu
i have seen ngog play and he is good young forward with fast pace and with likes of gerrard and torres showing him the ropes.things are looking good.1,5 million is nothing to pay for a player these days.he was a steal, why do think psg wanted to hold on to him so badly.so come on now dont give until the end of the season,if you can ?.
welcome scousers next flop Ngog
-----------cisse song traore should feel bad cuz a new star is going to be a better flop
Just Walk on!!! Walk on!!!
In this season Liverpool will take BPL trofey I now it!!!
Great to see Rafa planning for the future. To those idiots comparing his young signings to those of Houlliers catch a grip. We are talking about a differnet class of manager and if you recall Hou actually spent big money on average teenagers who ammounted to nothing and never where going to reach the heights required at LFC. If any of you idiots knew anything outside English football you would realise he has done a super deal with all these signings. TAKE THE BLINKERS OFF GUYS! If these kids happened to hold British passports you would be raving about them and LFC would be out of pocket around 25 - 30 million such is the state of the English game. UP THE REDS
stupid kid..wont get to play.. i fink he jus ruined his career..
remember le tallec and pongolle
they shuda gone to arsenal
am a liverpool fan..liverpool isnt winin anythin next season
wahahah..benitez dumbo signing again
great signing? 1 goal in 18 matches last season..... get excited
'Pacy, young, french forward' 'finding the back of the net just once in 18 appearances'????? Sounds like they've just signed David Bellion!!!!!
