As the Formula One paddock heads to the Hungaroring, here is our advice for getting maximum results from your Fantasy team.
HOW IT WORKS
- You choose three drivers for each race - one from Group A and two from Group B - plus a team.
- The top eight finishers in the race receive 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 fantasy points respectively, plus there is a bonus point for any driver leading at any stage during the race and another for completing the entire race.
- The top three drivers in qualifying will earn 3, 2 and 1 points respectively, meaning each driver can receive a maximum of 15 fantasy points during each race and each team can earn a maximum of 27 fantasy points per race.
- Each driver and constructor can be an active member of your team in no more than four races.
The deadline to create a team for each race is 8am local time on the day of qualifying.
HUNGARORING HINTS
A DRIVER
The driver with the highest average of fantasy points per race by some distance is Ferrari's Felipe Massa. His 3.44 may be poor compared with the top drivers in the 'B' section, but with team-mate Kimi Raikkonen (2.22) and McLaren's Lewis Hamilton (1.88) the closest to him, he should be towards the top of your list.
Why only towards the top? Because the Brazilian's best showing in Hungary is seventh, while his last two appearances there with the Scuderia have seen him come home in 17th and 13th.
Raikkonen is a past winner and has been on the podium four times, but is struggling for form.
If you've been biding your time over Hamilton, now could be the moment to spring into action. The world champion's McLaren MP4-24 is set for major upgrades this weekend, while it was already almost in that elite Brawn/Red Bull bracket last time out before he suffered a puncture leading into the first corner.
Leave BMW Sauber alone: Nick Heidfeld has been on the podium twice before at the circuit but has not scored a point in his last four races, while Robert Kubica has only two to his name all season.
If you like taking risks which can pay off handsomely, select Heikki Kovalainen. He should have an upgraded McLaren and produced his drive of the season to take a point in a relative dog of a car in Germany.
B DRIVERS
Jenson Button is still top pick by some stretch in this category, having scooped an average 11 fantasy points per race weekend. In the chasing group there is little to choose between Sebastian Vettel (7.77), Rubens Barrichello and Mark Webber (7).
British Brawn driver Button won in Hungary in 2006, which may seem a trivial stat to F1 newcomers, but before this season his victories were rarer than a cast-iron tip from On the Grid.
He has hit the skids - if you can call it that, given he has a 21-point lead in the drivers' standings - in the last two races, finishing sixth and fifth as the BGP 001 struggled in cooler conditions in England and Germany. However, Hungary should be a good deal warmer.
Barrichello is getting more and more frustrated, going so far as to castigate the team after the Nurburgring, and has slipped to fourth in the World Championship, behind both red Bull drivers.
He likes the Hungarian track, however: two second-place finishes and a win in 2002 suggest good times in store for the Brazilian.
If you're a form man, look no further than the Red Bull boys. Second, second, first reads Mark Webber's recent record of finishes - leading to a new contract, just signed, until the end of 2010 - while Vettel's third, first, second reeks of Austrian fizzy drink domination.
Outside that group Nico Rosberg is a possibility. His Williams has taken points in the last five races, compared with the 'nul points' this season of team-mate Kazuki Nakajima.
The Toyota boys who started the season so well have fallen by the wayside somewhat, but they are better choices than the Force Indias and Renault's Nelson Piquet Jr, all of whom are yet to score a point in the championship.
And for goodness sake don't tick Sebastien Bourdais's box as he's been sacked by Toro Rosso.
TEAMS
Red Bull, then Brawn, then McLaren, then Ferrari, depending on the number of picks you have remaining. Don't bother with any of the others.
