Norwich have completed another signing with the capture of Shrewsbury striker Grant Holt for an undisclosed fee.
Holt became the Shrews' record signing last summer when he joined from Nottingham Forest for £175,000 and after scoring 28 goals in League Two has moved on to Carrow Road.
Canaries boss Bryan Gunn told the club's official website: "We wanted to bring a striker to the club and that`s what we`ve done.
"Grant`s name was the first I put forward this summer. He will bring goals for us this season for sure, he is a tried and tested player who has always produced."
Holt said: "This is a great opportunity for me at a really good club. I just want to be successful, score goals and get the team promoted."
Earlier the club announced they had signed Tottenham goalkeeper Ben Alnwick on a three-month loan deal, along with Simon Whaley and Rhoys Wiggins.
The 22-year-old Alnwich will provide competition for fellow new signing Michael Theoklitos and Gunn is happy to have him on board.
Gunn said: "We were still waiting on international clearance for Michael which has just come through so we needed some cover.
"He will provide competition for the number one spot and allow the youngsters opportunities to progress in the youth and reserve leagues."
Norwich also completed the signings of Preston winger Whaley and Crystal Palace defender Wiggins.
The duo have both signed two-year contracts at Carrow Road after moving for undisclosed fees and will boost manager Gunn's squad ahead of the League One season.
Gunn told the club's official website: "It's great to have secured the signatures of these two players."
He added: "Simon can play on the right, left and through the centre so he gives us plenty of attacking options and he has all the attributes you'd expect from a wide man.
"Rhoys is predominantly a left-back and he is a player who likes to get forward."

this is one of the toughest leagues to get out of and norwich will struggle mark my words
because colchester get about 30 people turn up to watch each week and basically are @#$%,i know norwich were poor last season but we will walk this league, colchester can have him when he is 40.up the yellows
why has holt gone to norwich when he could have gone to colchester trator come on COL U
gunny's gone mad with the signings!...GREAT!
Grant Holt is very good ,he will get you goals o k .
A dissapointed shrewsbury fan
sorry tommy i disagree,
i understand your concerns but i feel the vibes coming from the players tell me we will be successful,
i still hate delia :)
Lets not get carried away!...many question marks hang over this team, our manager & our finances. Don't even think promotion is on the cards- consolidation should be the name of the game..
great a striker at last
Yes another awesome signing.
We will run away with the league title this upcoming season and wave to Dips.@#$% town when Keane gets them relagated,
