Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has taken strikers Vincent Pericard and Quincy Owusu-Abeyie on trial.

Former Juventus frontman Pericard, 26, is available on a free transfer after being released by Stoke at the end of last season.

Dutchman Owusu-Abeyie, 23, is currently on the books of Spartak Moscow and would be available for a small transfer fee.

Johnson is eager to strengthen his attack after recent loan signing Andrius Velicka was injured on his debut, leaving him to face up to a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
