Internazionale twice come from behind against Dynamo Kiev to salvage a 2-2 draw at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Group F of the Champions League.
Taras Mykhalik put Dynamo ahead after just five minutes before Dejan Stankovic levelled for the Italian champions 30 minutes later.
An own-goal by Lucio handed the advantage back to the Ukrainian side before the break only for Walter Samuel to restore parity for a second time - and hand Inter a point - on 47 minutes.
With Russian minnows Rubin Kazan shocking Barcelona in the Nou Camp things are now looking ominous for Inter, who are now without a win in eight Champions League games.
Andriy Yarmolenko had already missed a sitter before Mykhalyk gave the visitor's the lead with the game barely three minutes old.
Gerson Magrao lofted a free-kick into the box, Maicon and Samuel made a hash of clearing their lines and the ball dropped for Mykhalyk who drove the ball past Cesar and off the right hand post.
In a messy first-half, which included three bookings, Inter's play was bereft of fluency and creativity.
Kiev on the other hand looked threatening against a leaden-footed Nerazzuri defence. However, as the game wore on the home side began to find their rhythm and Stankovic went close with two long-range efforts - one stinging the hands of Stanislav Bogush.
Andriy Shevchenko was inches away from doubling his side's lead with a header before Inter hit the visitors on the counterattack to devastating effect in the 35th minute.
Julio Cesar got a firm punch on a cross from the left, which dropped to Lucio. The Brazilian defender burst forward and laid the ball into the path of Stankovic racing through on goal. The Serb midfielder stroked the ball past the onrushing Bogush and into the back of the net.
Undeterred Kiev continued to expose Inter's frailty at the back, bombarding the box with early crosses.
It paid off five minutes before half-time when another Magrao corner caused chaos. The delivery just missed Kiev captain Artem Milevskiy at the near post, but not Lucio who inadvertently headed the ball past a helpless Julio Cesar.
Inter boss Jose Mourinho must have given his players the hairdryer treatment at half-time because the Serie A leaders came out in the second half a different team.
And within two minutes of the restart they were level. Wesley Sneijder whipped in a corner from the right and Samuel made a telling connection, angling his header into Bogush's right hand top corner.
The home side started the second half brightly and were level within two minutes of the restart. Samuel guided a looping header over Bogush following a Sneijder corner.
After an explosive start to the second period the contest simmered down and Inter did not threaten again until the 63rd minute.
Samuel Eto'o brought the best out of Bogush with a powerful volley, which the keeper did well to beat out down low to his right.
Shevchenko was next to miss 10 minutes later. The former Chelsea striker lashed a shot high, wide and into the stands as he bore down on goal.
Shevchenko continued to threaten but looked like a man chasing his form. Profligacy in front of goal appeared to be catching as Eto'o hit a lame effort into the arms of Bogush just inside the box.
Inter's second half substitute David Suazo blew a chance to be the hero with five minutes left to play.
Javier Zanetti powered to the byline and pulled his cross back to the Honduran striker, but he hesitated before blazing wide from close range.
