Rangers manager Walter Smith has confirmed that Pedro Mendes will be out of action for up to two months.
The midfielder was forced out of Tuesday night's Champions League defeat to Unirea Urziceni after suffering a knock to his knee.
The Portuguese international underwent scans on Wednesday which have revealed he now faces a lengthy lay-off.
Smith said the vital player will be sidelined for at least six weeks and could possibly be out for two months.

this is a chance for Celtic, he is rangers only footballer, if Celtic aren't well ahead by the time he get's back then it's rangers league, Celtic are woeful, and sad as it sounds, the league now is not about who's the best, it's about who's the worst.
You'll be missed pedro.
All the best Pedro and hasten back.
