Orient sunk by Roberts

Winger Gary Roberts scored one goal and laid on another two as Huddersfield thrashed Leyton Orient 4-0 at the Galpharm.

The hosts squandered several chances in the first-half before Roberts scored in the second minute of added time with a 15-yard shot for only his second goal of the season.

And in the 57th minute only seconds after Huddersfield had been denied a penalty for handball, his cross to the far post was headed home by centre back Nathan Clarke. Then in the 74th minute Roberts crossed into the box for midfielder Michael Collins to make it 3-0 with a spectacular diving header.

In the 90th minute Roberts started the move with a short corner which led to striker Jordan Rhodes grabbing his 12th of the season scoring with a close range header.

Orient, who have won only twice on their travels this season, managed to carve out just one clear-cut chance in the match in the 18th minute when Ben Chorley headed over the bar from a corner.
