Arsenal will welcome back defender Kieran Gibbs for their Champions League Group H clash with Standard Liege at the Emirates Stadium.
The left-back has regained fitness after bruising his ankle on England U21 duty last week and will go straight back into the side with Gael Clichy still sidelined with a back injury.
Robin van Persie (ankle) and Nicklas Bendtner (groin) are still missing, handing boss Arsene Wenger a selection problem in attack.
The Frenchman may opt to hand Carlos Vela a rare start after the Mexican impressed as a substitute during Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Sunderland.
"Vela is a fantastic talent and he is 20 years old," Wenger said. "We have invested a lot of time for him because we put him in Spain for two years, got him back and now we work with him every day."
"I believe he is a Robbie Fowler-type. He needs very little time to make a decision in the box.
"He is relaxed when he finishes and he has very short back-lift. He is left-footed and he is a similar size."
Lukasz Fabianski is close to fitness after a knee injury, but Manuel Almunia will continue in goal for the clash with the Belgian side.
Abou Diaby (calf) and Johan Djourou (knee) remain unavailable.

Whether Arsenal wins or not the point remains that the team needs a midfielder, striker and maybe goal keeper Alu and Fabi cost the club crucial games most times. Wenger should apend the £40 m he was given for buying new players. Arsene should work up from his slumber. He seems to be living in cucooland. You wont win anything with this team - no backbone whatsoever.
This will be the opportunity for Vela to prove himself that he can be great as well.
Like Robbie Fowler eh, without the habits let hope
