Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn has fuelled speculation that the French manufacturer will pull out of F1 by contending that the sport is not "going to be very important for anybody, if it doesn't answer some of the concerns that surround (it)".
Whilst Renault F1 signed up to the commercial rights-governing Concorde Agreement back in the summer - thereby theoretically guaranteeing its presence on the grand prix grid until at least 2012 - Ghosn revealed last month that a final decision about the future of its Enstone-based operation will possibly not be taken until the end of the year.
It has been pointed out that rival car maker
Moreover, Ghosn is known not to be a particular motorsport fan, and it has been noted in particular that the high-tech world of F1 sits ill-at-ease with Renault's increasing eco push on the road car side, as it bids to battle back from falling sales worldwide. The tone of the 55-year-old's comments suggest the end may be nigh.
"F1 is one of the most seen spectacles in the world," the Brazilian-born businessman said. "It is facing some challenges - challenges on how fair it is and how do you marry F1 with environmental concerns? Can you bring zero emissions through technology? There are lots of questions about F1...
"I don't think it is going to be very important for anybody, if it doesn't answer some of the concerns that surround F1.
"I notice that in the last year, three car manufacturers have bowed out of F1 - three in one year! That means there are a lot of questions that we need to resolve."

Yves started his career in 1963, after his military service with the Belgian navy, in the various kitchens of the Hilton International Hotel Brussels.
Having worked for the Brussels Hilton for three years, he then moved on to the Hilton International Gatwick for 2 years where he became Chef for their gastronomic restaurant.
When he returned to Belgium he assisted the famous Belgian chef, M. Beyls at the "l'Orangerie".
A new step in his Gastronomic career was his training at the Restaurant "Le Divellec" in Paris for 8 months, for the purpose of becoming Chef of the Sea Grill Restaurant, in the Radisson SAS Hotel in Brussels (open since January 1990).
You see touronroute - it's amazing what you can find out on the internet - but you already know that....

Straight off the Radisson Brussels website, as I suspected:
"With a well-provisioned lobster bar and innovative menu from Executive chef Yves Mattagne, the Sea Grill is a must for lovers of gourmet seafood! Highly-ranked in several French and international gastronomic guides, the restaurant serves excellent culinary delights along with a variety of digestives and an extensive wine list. The restaurant even has a Christofle press; designed by Le Divellec, this instrument contains 27 kg of pure silver and is one of only four which exist in the world. Two private rooms are also available and are suitable for groups of up to 18 guests."

I refer you once again to Wikipedia's 'how to tell if someone is a pathological liar'
3. They "construct" a reality around themselves. They don't value the truth, especially if they don't see it as hurting anyone. If you call them on a lie and they are backed into a corner, they will act very defensively and say ugly things (most likely but depends on personality), but they may eventually start to act like, "Well, what's the difference? You're making a big deal out of nothing!" (again, to refocus the conversation to your wrongdoing instead of theirs).
To a tee....

I hesitate to say it given the events of today, but I can't stop myself: You spelt Radisson wrong toutou. ;-P
and 2 s's
Toutou I see you have such an elegant turn of phrase this evening.
I would suggest I have been to more countries in the world than you have given your restricted understanding of 'life'. I can tell you in my last trek into Europe I stayed in two Radissions in different cities, both of which were the cheapest hotels I stayed in, facilities wise they were not to the same standard as others. I have been to Brussels, but do not like the place, I have been to Antwerp (on more than one occassion) Toutou I can safely say you will never be able to out 'gain' me.
I do have a rather exciting and full life and this forum is just relaxation for as it is for most people, it is not our life. I have achieied more in my life than you have in yours, I do not and never have felt sorry for myself, though your comprehension does not allow you to understand my humour and how I live life so that is your problem not mine. I am open about things as I find it stops people from feeling guilty or being worried if they drop themselves in it, which by the way I find amusing.
So unless you want to look even more stupid I suggest that you do not try to out do me in certain areas as you will not succeed.
Yes the Radissons are for me a run of the mill hotel. By the way anyone who stays there knows that they have only 1 D
"Well ellie you obviously havn't lived and been to Brussels, and stayed at the Raddison Blu and relaxed in the Pebble Wood Corner" - touronroute #41
Neither have you touronroute. You have just looked it up on the internet. You are a liar and a bad one at that.
I don't know why Ghosn is banging on about not being fair - his team got off lightly from the race fixing scandal. Very, very lightly.
I have to agree Donald D (#36)
Adrian, if he is "always been doubtful of the value of F1 to his company and the motor industry at large", a you say, why doesn't he just shut up and leave F1 to the people who are not (doubtful...)
Monica I think you will find that the crash scandal was carried out by the Renault Formula 1 team. Carlos Ghosn is CEO of the Renault Car Company who ultimately own Renault F1 but I very much doubt he was a party to the scandal. He has always been doubtful of the value of F1 to his company and the motor industry at large.
"... the sport is not "going to be very important for anybody, if it doesn't answer some of the concerns that surround (it)"
This is rich, from people who won the race by ordering a pilot into a wall! I'm really a step from hailing F1 goodbye forever(and good riddance.
Touronroute everyone knows that you were telling lies about going to Belgium to watch the GP at Spa when you were talking about the amount of Belgian Francs you were spending. When you followed this up by saying you were joking that just made everyone laugh even more.
Remember next time when you want to string some continental lies together that it's Euros nowadays.
Come on Johnny Boy, why are you keeping on with that muppet ID formula1police? Everyone knows it's you posting as that moron, so why keep it up?
Keno Boy (muppetloot to you guys) do you think your pointress blagging is going to impless anyone on this site. No one berieves you are a high rorrer and no amount of blagging on your part will convince anyone diffelent.
This is what rittle chirdlen do in the school prayglound and it is acceptabre flom them but not flom a 70 year old man.
