Former Barcelona and Spain midfielder Guillermo Amor has been discharged from hospital to continue his recovery following a car crash.

The 40-year-old, pictured left, also played for Villarreal and Fiorentina, and underwent several operations for chest, stomach and pelvic injuries after the accident near Tarragona.

Amor's chances of survival had been rated at 50-50 after his car left the road following a commentating shift on Valencia v Barcelona on December 15th.
