Championship - Sheffield United recall Gillespie

Sheffield United winger Keith Gillespie is to be recalled from his loan spell at Charlton after their Boxing Day clash with QPR.

Gillespie has made six appearances for the Addicks since arriving at the club in November.

But he will now return to Bramall Lane after the match with Hoops as United struggle with injuries and suspension.

Darius Henderson is suspended, James Beattie is an injury doubt, Gary Speed remains sidelined with a back injury and Sun Jihai (hamstring) and Derek Geary (knee surgery) are also out.

Manager Kevin Blackwell also has injury concerns over Nick Montgomery, who has missed training with a calf problem, midfielder Matthew Spring, who is recovering from a virus, and defender Gary Naysmith (back).

Gillespie could even line up against Phil Parkinson's men on Sunday, with Charlton making the trip to Bramall Lane on that day.
