Wolves manager Mick McCarthy is certain to be without striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake for the FA Cup fourth-round trip to Watford. The former Plymouth forward, who scored in the 2-0 win over Scunthorpe last weekend, is cup-tied and suspended for the clash.
But another new arrival who scored against the Iron on Saturday, midfielder Dave Edwards, is eligible to play.
The game is expected to come too soon for winger Michael Kightly (ankle) but the England Under-21 could return for Tuesday's game with Sheffield Wednesday after resuming full training.
Jody Craddock is unlikely to feature as he struggles with a calf problem but club captain Gary Breen has an outside chance of playing after stepping up his recovery from a knee problem by turning out for the reserves in midweek.
McCarthy has already hinted that he may continue to use striker Stephen Elliott out wide on the right.
