Wigan have sold midfielder Denny Landzaat to Dutch club Feyenoord for £1 million while Marlon King is set to join the Lancashire club after his move to Fulham collapsed.

Netherlands international Landzaat joined the Latics in 2006 and has featured in 19 matches this season, scoring three goals.

He follows Fitz Hall, who joined QPR, out of the JJB Stadium.

King was ready to complete a £5m move from Watford to the Cottagers this week before he failed a medical.

Manager Steve Bruce, who has this month already secured the signatures of Erik Edman, Maynor Figueroa and Wilson Palacios, is expected to wrap up the arrival of the goal-getter as he builds a side to fight the threat of relegation.

King fired the Hornets to promotion from the Championship two years ago, but missed most of the doomed Premier League campaign due to injury.

The news comes as a blow to the survival hopes of Roy Hodgson's Fulham, provided that he remains fit after hitting 11 league goals in Watford's ongoing campaign to return to the top flight.

Watford meanwhile have taken action to plug the gap by securing the loan of Collins John from Fulham for the rest of the season.

Landzaat, 31, was formerly on the books of Feyenoord's rivals Ajax and went on to feature for MVV, Wilem II and AZ Alkmaar.
