David Beckham has refused to rule out the possibility of staying at Milan after he scored in their Serie A victory at Bologna.
Beckham, 33, is on loan from LA Galaxy for two months and has been tipped to remain at the San Siro after three impressive performances.
Ahead of the move - designed to maintain form and fitness for England during the MLS off-season - Beckham maintained that he would return to the USA for pre-season training on March 9.
But after being awarded the man-of-the-match award in the 4-1 win at the Renato Dall'Ara, Beckham would not discount the possibility of remaining in Italy.
"I can't say what will happen," he told Sky Italia after the game. "Even if my contract says that I'll be here until March. We'll have to see.
"At the moment I'm enjoying this experience.
"I'm at one of the biggest clubs in the world. And having won gives us confidence to continue."
Beckham has improved with each game since arriving in the winter transfer window and has been praised for his conduct off the pitch.
He has so far kept £15 million signing Ronaldinho out of the team and appears to be suited to the Italian game, which is reliant less on pace and more on technique and tactical acuity.
Despite scoring and drawing the plaudits, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder insisted that the three points were all that counted.
"It's great to score my first goal - I will keep this jersey," he continued. "But it's more important the team won and we played well.
"I'm having a great time so far. I'm enjoying each game and I'm surprised I'm starting each game.
"We have a great team and a great squad and I hope we can carry on playing like this."
Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti was also hesitant regarding Beckham's future, but intimated that they would be keen to tie him down to a longer-term deal if possible.
"If he said 'we'll see' it means he's thinking about staying," Ancelotti told Sky Italia. "However, our hands are tied as he has a clear contract.
"We can't do anything to change things, he can surely do so. He has to resolve his contract with the American team.
"I am realistic, we are capitalising on his presence at the moment and so, while we have him at our disposal, we will try to do things the best way possible."

Stay where you are Becks, soccer will NEVER be as popular in the US as Gridiron,
He should have gone there instead of L.A, the pace suits his playing style much better.
not only is he playing with world class players, he won't be living in a cloud cuckoo lland film set IE:- the USA. and playing with Mickey Mouse footballers.
he should stay @ ac milan
i think that david beckam should stay in europe
I read somewhere that his contract with Galaxy expires at the end of the next MLS season. After it's over he can go to Milan on a free transfer
all these know nothing managers are wrong
all these great journalists are right
pigs can really fly
beckham, please carry on,england needs a player like u,people that fight for the ball, look at Tevez at utd,im a rugby league lad and theres nothing better than watching a player give his all, than sombody like ronadlo what falls over,or wont chase for a ball,Carry on,please
he should stay
maybe he will return to england then!
andreak8 - what a naive thing to say! Since when has modern football ever worked on promises? If all players honoured their contracts till the end, there would be no transfer fees and no one buying anybody other than on the Bosman ruling. Let's face it, it will be far better for Galaxy to sell Beckham for a large fee than have him retire at the end of his contract or leave for nothing.
lol beckham at the world cup? id be amazed if England made it, over rated teams paper teams = paper cups.
andreak ''promises are meant 2 be broken"zim
thanx beck's7 great goal c u at the world cup in south africa next year.blessn zimbabwe
Becks has always had a "Never say die" attitude all throughout his career...NICE ONE BECKS.
As always I am amazed at the constant 'knocking' of David Beckham. When will people, especially journalists, realise that despite limitations this guy continues to prove everyone wrong with his performances on the pitch. He has never maintained that he is the most technically gifted footballer, yet he continues to perform at the highest level. Just accept that with true dedication and superb attitude he can still play the game. A little, even grudgingly respect, would be nice from so called experts. I wish the quality of our journalists was half as good as DB's. Come on Sir David!!!
In spite of all the so called English sports writers constant knocking of David Beckham
His has proved them wrong again, well done David! and by the way Piers Morgan who knows nothing about football let alone fake photes should be ashamed.

A promise is a promise! You should return to Galaxy because you agreed a deal to play there.
