Former Northampton boss Gary Johnson has backed the club to pull away from the League Two relegation zone.
Johnson, who returned for a second spell as manager of Yeovil this month, left his post at Sixfields in mid-November.
Aidy Boothroyd replaced the Londoner at the end of that month and Johnson believes the former Watford, Colchester and Coventry boss will preserve the club's Football League status.
"I think they'll get out of trouble because when they get their big guns back from injury they will be stronger," Johnson told Press Association Sport. "Aidy asked me about the job. He asked me about the club and the chairman and I said if he wanted to get back into the game it's a decent club, a good chairman and, although it looks grim, there's some decent people and some decent players there - and I still believe that.
"When I was at Northampton I felt they had a lot of players that needed to be moved out and we needed to bring a lot of players in. There wasn't a massive budget and we couldn't move out the ones who were already there, so they were taking up a third of the budget.
"It was very difficult to get a competitive team, but every manager since has found it difficult there."
