Barnsley manager Simon Davey must do without midfielder Anderson De Silva for the clash with QPR at Oakwell on Tuesday. The Brazilian sustained a knee injury in Saturday's defeat at Norwich and will undergo a scan to determine the exact nature and extent of the problem.
Davey is expected to promote Sam Togwell to the starting line-up from the substitutes' bench, but has the option of switching Bobby Hassell from full-back.
Striker Jon Macken and defender Lewin Nyatanga could return to the starting line-up, while Kayode Odejayi is also pushing for a recall.
Davey's side, who take on Chelsea for a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup on March 8, have won only two of their last 13 league matches and have recently slipped into the bottom half of the table.
