Ipswich striker Alan Lee says he will welcome the signing of David Nugent "with open arms" should the Portsmouth striker sign on loan.Nugent is expected to decide this week whether to make the switch to Portman Road after the clubs agreed a deal and Lee - whose place in the Tractor Boys' side would come under severe threat if the former Preston man does arrive - is excited by the news.
He told the Evening Star: "We must be pleased to have anyone new who can bring something to the table.
"We have one goal at this club. One goal that we are all aiming for. And that is to reach the Premier League.
"There is always competition if you are a football player, and I will welcome David with open arms.
"He is an England player and a class performer."
