Eurosport - Mon, 25 Feb 14:05:00 2008

Our weekly look at the domestic fortunes of British clubs' upcoming adversaries in the UEFA Cup, including how Fiorentina's promising season is beginning to falter.

FOOTBALL Serie A Roma Fiorentina Ludovic Guily Zdravko Kuzmanovic - 0

All matches to be played Thursday 6th March

Fiorentina (home to Everton)

Roma 1-0 Fiorentina

Fiorentina dropped out of the top four after losing to Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

Brazilian defender Cicinho's strike early in the second half was the difference between the two sides, as La Viola were overtaken by Milan in the table and drop to fifth place.

Their cause is not helped by the news that top scorer Adrian Mutu has been ruled out for four weeks after damaging medial ligaments in his left knee, meaning he will miss both legs of this appealling tie.

PSV Eindhoven (away to Tottenham Hotspur)

PSV Eindhoven 4-1 De Graafschap

PSV Eindhoven came from behind to beat 10-men Graafschap Doetinchem 4-1 and stay nine points clear at the top of the Dutch league.

Two goals from Danko Lazovic, one from Otman Bakkal and a Timmy Simons penalty were more than enough to overturn the early lead Graafschap earned through Lasse Schoene.

Sporting (home to Bolton Wanderers)

Vitoria Setubal 1-0 Sporting

Sporting dropped to fourth in the Portuguese Superliga after losing 1-0 at Setubal.

Former Leeds midfielder Bruno Ribeiro scored his first goal of the season on his first start to bring his side up to fifth in the table, just two points behind the Lisbon side.

Werder Bremen (away to Rangers)

Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 Werder Bremen

Bremen fell four points behind leaders Bayern Munich after losing 1-0 in Frankfurt.

They had influential midfielder Diego sent off on 40 minutes for an off-the-ball incident with Ioannis Amanatidis, who then went on the score the only goal of the game 11 minutes into the second half.
