Walsall boss Dean Smith felt the goalless draw at Preston was two points dropped.
Florent Cuvelier's second-half miss prevented the Saddlers from a third successive win in the league.
"We have come to a club like Preston North End and we have dominated the game in terms of the play," said Smith. "It is a good result but we created a lot of chances.
"I thought we were the best team out there. We had some really good passages of play and looked threatening but we just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net.
"I thought we started the game fantastically well and in the first minute we tested their keeper. But I am a little disappointed to be coming off the pitch at the end with only a point."
