Bradford manager Stuart McCall is hoping to keep forward Peter Thorne at Valley Parade next season and believes he can be a 20-goal striker.Thorne fired his 12th goal of the season to clinch City a 1-0 win over Chesterfield and the veteran striker is one of only a few players to have impressed McCall this season.
McCall said: "It wasn't a great game, but we stuck at our task. The game was a bit scrappy, but we scored a really good goal from a good move which was nice because it was a good finish by Peter Thorne.
"I'm hoping we will be tying him up for next season. I have no doubt that if he had been fit all season he would have scored 20 goals.
"I'm delighted with the three points, but we can play better than that."
