Brown loving life at Deepdale

Tue 25 Mar, 04:00 PM

Preston striker Chris Brown admits he could not be happier following his January switch to Deepdale from Championship rivals Norwich. The former Sunderland forward endured a miserable time at Carrow Road under Glenn Roeder but he has enjoyed a new lease of life in Lancashire.

Brown has scored three goals in his last four appearances to help Preston move six points clear of the relegation zone.

"I think I've been in the best form of my career of late," said Brown. "I'm feeling good in games and that is down to the lads and the faith the gaffer has shown by bringing us here.

"I have gone from not playing at all for three months to playing 12 or 13 games in a short period of time.

"I'm loving it. It's been a good time for us and I don't really want the season to end."
