Barnsley manager Simon Davey believes 52 points will be enough for his side to retain their Championship status.The Tykes are currently 18th in the table, just two points above the drop zone, and Davey reckons the relegation battle will be tighter than it was last season when his side finished fifth from bottom.

Davey said: "Everybody has said the magical mark was going to be 50 points. I think it's going to be more than that this year.

"Obviously we're on 46 and I reckon 52 might do it, but you never know - you've just got to keep plugging away at the points tally.

"We've got seven games and 21 points to play for, so let's see how many we can get."
