Veteran Charlton midfielder Matt Holland believes the Addicks are facing a season-defining week in their quest for a play-off place.Alan Pardew's side lie two points away from a spot in the top six and head into their game at Blackpool on Saturday knowing they cannot afford to concede any more ground in the race for promotion.

Holland told the club's website: "There are six games to go so this is a crucial period for us.

"If we win those, the picture changes completely. There is so much football still to be played, you cannot write anyone out of it."
