Leeds striker Tresor Kandol is hoping to make his international debut for DR Congo this week when his country line up against Algeria.The former Barnet striker, signed for £200,000 in January 2007 by previous Leeds manager Dennis Wise, could feature for the country of his birth for the first time in Wednesday's friendly.
Kandol joined up with his Congo team-mates after stepping off the substitutes' bench in the closing stages of Leeds' 2-0 win over Walsall on Saturday. He has scored 10 goals in League One this season.
Leeds winger Seb Sorsa is on international duty with Finland ahead of their friendly with Bulgaria in Sofia and Lubo Michalik is included in Slovakia's squad for their clash with Iceland.
