Money urging positive approach

Walsall manager Richard Money believes his team are still in the hunt for a play-off spot despite picking up just two points from five matches. It took a stoppage-time equaliser from defender Ian Roper to earn the Saddlers a point against relegation-threatened Crewe at the Banks' Stadium.

The 1-1 draw, coming on the back of Saturday's defeat at Leeds, has seen Walsall slip out of the top six. The Saddlers are now ninth and two points adrift of the play-off places.

"We have come off in a positive frame of mind and with seven games to go we are still in the hunt," said Money.

"It was important to come off the pitch with something because a defeat would not only have hurt us in terms of points total, but also confidence and belief."

Money also praised centre-back Roper after his leveller in the fourth minute of added time from Lee Holmes' corner, saying: "Ian gives his all for us every time he plays."
