Seagulls 'knocking on play-off door'

Tue 25 Mar, 03:15 PM

Brighton boss Dean Wilkins has conceded he was satisfied with the draw his side picked up away at fellow play-off hopefuls Nottingham Forest.Albion held Forest to a goalless draw at the City Ground and now lie handily placed in sixth.

Wilkins' side play nine games this month and whilst admitting his side are "over achieving" the former Seagulls midfielder is adamant they can finish the season strongly.

Wilkins admitted: "We had chances but we would probably have settled for a point before the start of the game. It's our eighth game in 24 days and it has taken a toll but the players kept going and deserved the point.

"We kept positive and it was a big clean sheet for us. We are knocking on the door as far as the play-offs are concerned.

"You could argue that we are over-achieving but despite the fact that we will play nine games this month, we will continue to work hard and push on."
