Everton are reported to have had a bid for Belgium international midfielder Marouane Fellaini turned down by his club Standard Liege.Fellaini is regarded as one of the best young talents in Belgium after catching the eye for Standard in the last few seasons.

Tottenham and Bayern Munich have been credited with an interest in the attacking midfielder, but Everton are thought to have made a firm enquiry for the 20-year-old.

Liege director Luciano D'Onofrio claims the club rejected an offer from Everton and that Spurs and Bayern Munich are also weighing up moves for Fellaini.

"Everton have made an unofficial bid but we turned it down," D'Onofrio is quoted as saying in The Sun.
