Valencia's 1-0 win at Racing Santander, their first in nine outings, has proved the squad are fully behind the club's battle to resolve its economic problems, according to midfielder David Albelda.

"It's hard with all the problems at the club and to have the constant shadow of doubt cast on the players. We have proved our commitment," Albelda said in Sport.

"We have never made demands or pressured them over the outstanding payments."

Delayed payments to the squad and speculation top players may be sold to help pay debts reported to stand at about 450 million euros (£417m), has raised doubts over the team's commitment.

Valencia are sixth in La Liga with 10 games left.
